hildren bring joy. They enrich our lives and strengthen the foundation of our family relationships. This is the simple message that a new initiative called "I Love Children" wants to send to Singaporeans.

"I Love Children" movement is led by a group of individuals who have come together through their shared love for children and the belief that children add value to living, and help us lead more balanced and fulfilling lives. Officially launched at the Children’s Day Carnival, an annual event organized by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), on 30 September 05 by Minister, Vivian Balakrishnan, the Movement aims to link up and be the link to like-minded individuals and groups, and where possible, to act together to initiate, influence and be the catalyst in changing current attitudes of Singaporeans to be more positive towards family and children.

Its broader mission is a Singapore that is children friendly, where children can be mainstreamed into society and be welcomed – into homes, public places, by corporations and businesses.

Working towards this mission, the Movement has garnered the support of the private sector to push its messaging into the community. To date, Abbot, Canon, Clearblue (Cork International), NTUC Club, Dairy Farm Group (Cold Storage, Giant, Guardian, Market Place, 7-Eleven and Shop n Save), 77th Street, SPH and UOB have pledged commitment to support the Movement’s messaging and initiatives. Since its official launch, the Movement has been busy actively pursuing strategic partnerships with corporate and community partners to further its objectives.

You can show that you love children too. Support the Movement’s efforts to bring about a children-friendly environment and attitude change in Singaporeans, and celebrate the joy and vibrancy that children can bring to life and community.
